Here are a few helpful tips to ensure you get the best performance and most enjoyment out of your candle.

La Luciole candles are all hand poured and made from coconut soy wax. Coconut Soy wax is 100% free from toxins, carcinogens or pollutants making it less likely to trigger allergies. Coconut soy has an excellent hot and cold scent throw. Indeed, depending on the fragrance chosen, the cold throw can sometime be stronger than the hot throw, meaning your room will smell gorgeous even before lighting.

We love wooden wicks, As a natural element they are always the most natural and cause less smoke during burn time.

Allow your candle to burn for 3-4 hours to allow the melt pool to become established. Without an established melt pool, the candle will begin to ‘tunnel’ and once this begins, it cannot be reversed.

Never leave your candle unattended and always ensure your candle is on a heat resistant surface before lighting. Remember this is a glass of fire and by its very nature is going to get hot during burn time.

Candles can ‘sweat’ when moved from one temperature to another. Beads of moisture form on the surface of the candle and in extreme cases can literally appear to have submerged the entire candle in liquid. This in no way affects the performance of the candle, simply blot the surface with kitchen paper, or similar, until all the moisture has been absorbed and the candle is dry to the touch and your candle is once again good to light.

Finally, please note that whilst our designer fragranced candles, diffusers and melts have an amazing resemblance to the various perfumes they are imitating, we are in no way affiliated with any of the fragrance companies. Our fragrances simply smell very similar to the perfumes.
